Το Δίκτυο Ελλήνων Επιχειρηματιών και Στελεχών Επιχειρήσεων Βαυαρίας (Hellenic
Network of Business and Executives in Bavaria – HNBE-Bavaria), σε συνεργασία με το
Γραφείο ΟΕΥ του Γενικού Προξενείου Μονάχου και τη Λέσχη Ελλήνων Επιστημόνων (Club
Griechischer Akademiker), διοργανώνει στις 19 Μαΐου 2021 διαδικτυακή θεματική
εκδήλωση με θέμα «Ίδρυση start up επιχειρήσεων από έλληνες επιστήμονες στη Βαυαρία
και διασύνδεσή τους με το ελληνικό οικοσύστημα νεοφυών επιχειρήσεων».
Σκοπός της εκδήλωσης είναι η προβολή της καινοτόμου ελληνικής επιχειρηματικότητας στη
Βαυαρία και η διασύνδεση γερμανικών και ελληνικών φορέων, ερευνητικών ιδρυμάτων και
νεοφυών επιχειρήσεων, ενώ θα αποτελέσει βήμα για νέες επιχειρηματικές συνέργειες και
περαιτέρω δράσεις δικτύωσης και ανάπτυξης εμπορικών και επενδυτικών συνεργασιών.
Η εκδήλωση περιλαμβάνει κεντρική ομιλία του υφυπουργού κ. Χ. Δήμα και ένα πρώτο
πάνελ, το οποίο συντονίζει ο καθηγητής του Πολυτεχνείου Μονάχου TUM κ. Κωνσταντίνος
Αντωνίου, με θέμα “Καινοτόμος επιχειρηματικότητα και οικοσύστημα νεοφυών
επιχειρήσεων”.
Στο δεύτερο μέρος της εκδήλωσης προβλέπεται επίσης πάνελ με αντικείμενο “Κίνητρα,
θεσμικό πλαίσιο και χρηματοδότηση για την ανάπτυξη νεοφυών επιχειρήσεων”, που θα
αποτελείται από ελληνικούς ή βαυαρικούς φορείς και εταιρείες που ασχολούνται με την
υποστήριξη και τη χρηματοδότηση νεοφυών επιχειρήσεων καθώς και εξειδικευμένο νομικό
που θα αναλύσει τις ιδιαιτερότητες της ίδρυσης και ανάπτυξης startup επιχειρήσεων στη
Βαυαρία.
Τέλος, στο τρίτο μέρος της εκδήλωσης θα παρουσιαστεί η εμπειρία ελλήνων επιστημόνων που
ίδρυσαν ή συμμετέχουν ενεργά σε έξι νεοφυείς επιχειρήσεις στη Βαυαρία.

Δρ. Χρίστος Δήμας
Υφυπουργός Ανάπτυξης και Επενδύσεων
Dr Christos Dimas is the Deputy Minister for Development and Investments in charge of Research and Innovation. He is a lawyer and Member of the Hellenic Parliament representing New Democracy in the district of Korinthia. Before entering politics, he worked in the private sector as a business consultant for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).He was born on the 29th of May 1980. He graduated from the Law School of
the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Queen Mary University in London.
He completed his Master Degree in Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He then finished his PhD in European Political Economy from the LSE, with a scholarship from the Alexander Onassis Foundation. Parallel to his studies, he worked as a correspondent in London for Apogevmatini newspaper while also practicing journalism at the BBC. At the age of 25 he was a teaching assistant at the LSE while teaching at ICON College in the University of Leicester and was a research fellow at the Jean Monnet European Center of Excellence. He was elected as an MP in the district of Korinthia, with New Democracy in the May 2012 elections and has been reelected ever since. In his spare time he enjoys playing football and basketball and reading history books. He is married to the lawyer Nicoleta Syrengela and they have one daughter and a son.

Mr. Ioannis Smyrlis is a political scientist, graduate of the Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration with a Postgraduate Diploma in International and European Relations from the University of Athens (EKPA).
He represented the Ministry of Interior during the rotating Greek Presidency of the EU in 2013-2014. He was Press and Public Relations Consultant of ODIE SA. in 2009-2010, Adviser to the General Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping in 2007-2009 and Adviser to the General Secretary of S.E.P.E. in 2005-2007.
He was elected as the first president from Greece of the Youth Organization of the European People’s Party (YEPP) 2007-2009, the largest political Youth Organization in Europe.
He served as Secretary of International and EU Relations of New Democracy Party and a Member of the Political Bureau of the European People’s Party (ELK) in 2013-2019. During that time, he cultivated personal relationships with major stakeholders in Brussels and other European capitals.
He was a European fellow of the German Marshall Foundation of the USA and a member of the EU Youth Assembly for the European Constitution (2003), the Hellenic Society of Political Science (E.E.P.E.) and the Hellenic Society of International Law and International Relations of the Aegean Institute for the Law of the Sea and Navigation. He has been a freelancer since 2009 in activities related to catering, trade and import-export. He speaks English and French.

Geboren 1976 in München, Studium der Rechtswissenschaften an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München sowie des Europäischen und internationalen Wirtschaftsrechts (LL.M. EUR.), Rechtsanwalt in einer Münchner Wirtschaftskanzlei, Mitglied der Christlich Sozialen Union (CSU).
Seit 1. März 2019 Referent für Arbeit und Wirtschaft (RAW) und damit erster Ansprechpartner für Arbeitsmarkt- und Wirtschaftsakteure bei der Landeshauptstadt München. Das Referat bündelt die Kompetenzen der Stadt in der Wirtschaftsförderung, der kommunalen Arbeitsmarktpolitik und Qualifizierung, im Tourismusmarketing sowie beim Management von Beteiligungen und städtischen Gesellschaften. Zudem nimmt das RAW Querschnittsaufgaben in der kommunalen Europaarbeit sowie in der kommunalen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit wahr und veranstaltet Feste und Märkte, darunter mit dem Oktoberfest das größte Volksfest der Welt.

Thomas Brinkmann was born in Bremen, Germany. After studying business administration with focus on accounting, management and banking he obtained a PhD from the university of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.
Following his academic education, he worked as project manager in a consulting company, mainly in the insurance sector. In 2000 he moved to Athens, Greece and hold the position as General Manager in different international insurance companies. In 2018 he switched industries and works now in the food business as Managing Director of GAEA Products S.A. Thomas Brinkmann is a Board member of the German-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce, where he is the president of the working committee “start ups”. Moreover he is the treasurer (since 2008) and Board member (since 2006) of the German School of Athens.

Dr. Belias was born in Athens and studied at the Law School of the

He started his career at the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Greek Embassy in Paris and then worked at the Permanent Representation of Greece in Geneva and was posted at the Offices of

Currently he works in the field of autonomous driving as an engineer.

Constantinos Antoniou is a Full Professor in the Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA (1995), a MS in Transportation (1997) and a PhD in Transportation Systems (2004), both from
MIT. His research focuses on modelling and optimization of transportation systems, data analytics and machine learning for transportation systems, and human factors for future mobility systems and in his 25 years of experience he has held key positions in a number of research projects in Europe, the US and Asia, while he has also participated in a number of consulting projects. Costas has a proven track record in attracting competitive funding in both national and international levels. He has authored more than 400 scientific publications, including more than 130 papers in international,
peer-reviewed journals, 250 in international conference proceedings, 3 books and 20 book chapters, which have been cited more than 5600 times. He is a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece

Vasilis Ntziachristos Ph.D. is Professor of Medicine, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of the Chair for Biological Imaging (CBI) at the Technical University of Munich, Director of the Institute for Biological and Medical Imaging (IBMI) at the Helmholtz Zentrum Munchen and Director of Bioengineering at the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus. He has received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and the M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia PA. Prior to his current appointment he was faculty at Harvard University and the Massachusetts General Hospital. Professor Ntziachristos is the founder of the journal Photoacoustics, regularly Chairs in international meetings and councils and has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Chaire Blaise Pascal (2019) from the Region Ile-de-France, the Gold Medal from the Society for Molecular Imaging (2015), the Gottfried Leibnitz prize from the German Research Foundation (2013), the Erwin Schrödinger Award (2012) and was named one of the world’s top innovators by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Technology Review in 2004.
Panagiotis Karampinis

Panagiotis holds a degree in Financial and Banking Management from the University of Piraeus. During his studies he worked in the International Fund of Investment Funds Group in Greece and was the Head of Corporate Partnerships at AIESEC in Greece, the largest student organization in the world. Panagiotis joined Endeavor in 2012 and until 2018 he worked on the development of the network, overseeing the process of selecting prospective entrepreneurs and managing a portfolio of 14 major entrepreneurs in Greece, owners of successful companies such as Workable, FrezyDerm, Ergon, Konva, Christodoulou Brothers, Metamaterial Inc and others. Panagiotis was also the Head of the Global F&B Community, a community of 80 Endeavor entrepreneurs with a high impact from 30 countries working in the F&B industry. Through the association and cooperation of all entrepreneurs, he organized F&B initiatives and events around the world to help the community develop its entrepreneurial actions and skills. Since 2018 is the Managing Director of Endeavor Greece. Panagiotis is a co-founder of TEDxKalamata, a volunteer of the Red Cross Samaritan, and is a consultant to speculative and nonprofit organizations.

Mit BayStartUP leitet Dr. Carsten Rudolph die zentrale Institution für Unternehmensgründung und Finanzierung in Bayern. Im Jahr 2009 übernahm er die Geschäftsführung des damaligen Münchner Businessplan Wettbewerbs und gestaltete unter der neuen Firmierung evobis den Ausbau zum heutigen umfassenden Angebotsspektrum. 2014 erfolgte die Zusammenführung der evobis mit der netzwerk nordbayern GmbH zu einer gesamtbayerischen Organisation zur landesweiten Unterstützung von Startups. Zuvor war er Projektleiter der High-Tech-Gründerinitiative “unternimm was.” der Microsoft Deutschland GmbH, einer der ersten Initiativen, die die Zusammenarbeit von etablierten Unternehmen und Startups zum Inhalt hatte. Von 2001 bis 2006 war er Geschäftsführer das netzwerk nordbayern. Weitere vorherige Stationen waren die eines Startups im e-Health Umfeld, die Unternehmensberatung bei McKinsey & Co sowie verschiedenen Positionen bei der Siemens AG. Dr. Carsten Rudolph studierte und promovierte an der TU Berlin im Fachgebiet Elektrotechnik mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Anwendungen der Künstlichen Intelligenz in der elektronischen Messtechnik. Seit September 2019 ist Carsten Rudolph berufener Professor für Entrepreneurship an der Technischen Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm.
Gabriele Böhmer

Gabriele Böhmer hat nach einem Studium der Verwaltungswissenschaften im Jahr 1985 ihre Tätigkeit bei der Landeshauptstadt München aufgenommen. Im Referat für Arbeit und Wirtschaft hat sie als stellvertretende Leitung der Wirtschaftsförderung unter anderem die Gründungsabteilung der Stadt München aufgebaut. Sie ist Mitglied im Aufsichtsrat der BayStartUP GmbH, im Vorstand bei Gründer Regio M, Mitglied des Kuratoriums Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship der Universität der Bundeswehr München, Beirätin in verschiedenen EU- Projekten und bei zahlreichen Projekten als Jurorin und Mentorin tätig. Dr. rer. nat. Alexandros Papaderos is the Acting Head of the Office for Research and Innovation and the Head of Innovation of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He is responsible for the Innovation and Technology Transfer activities at TUM. Dr. Papaderos has nearly 20 years of experience in the fields of protection and commercial exploitation of research results, collaboration between academia and business and university entrepreneurship. His track record includes numerous IP commercialization cases, negotiation and conclusion of research collaboration contracts with academic and industrial partners as well as broad experience in the creation of university start-ups and spin-offs. Among other appointments, Dr. Papaderos is a Member of the Committee for Research, Technology and Innovation of the Bavarian Industry Association (vbw), a Member of the TTO Advisory Group of the European Patent Office (EPO) and Vice Chair of the Council for Technology Transfer & Intellectual Property of the Greek Government. He is furthermore a frequent speaker in workshops and seminars on Technology Transfer issues.

Eirini Psallida is Co-founder and Head of Software at KEWAZO GmbH, a Munich-based robotics startup. KEWAZO offers intelligent robotic hoists for construction and industrial sites and has raised so far 3.8 million Euros. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Athens followed by a M.Sc. degree in Informatics from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Before founding KEWAZO, she gained valuable experience by working at the Greek startup ecosystem and CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Switzerland.

Following his studies at Technical University Munich (TUM) and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), he spent 10 years at the strategic consulting firm McKinsey & Co., where he advised clients in the high tech and healthcare industries. He then transitioned into a commercial role at GE Healthcare where he was responsible for key account and project sales in the German-speaking countries. In 2010, Christian left GE Healthcare to co-found iThera Medical. Within the management team he focuses on strategy, sales & marketing, R&D, and HR.

Lymperis Perakis works as Data Scientist at the R&D department of Celus GmbH. He was born in Athens and finished his bachelor’s degree at the Technical University of Munich in electrical and computer engineering. He is also a graduate of the Master in Management of TUM and is currently completing another master degree in the same faculty. Before working for Celus, he worked as a project manager in the field of telecommunications.

Georgios Chatziioannou is all about tech, sustainability and dogs. He is currently serving as the CEO of Terano and also works as a technology consultant at Capgemini Engineering. He holds two Master’s degrees from the Technical University of Munich, in Aerospace Engineering and in Management. After joining the Climate-KIC of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in 2017, George found his passion for sustainable entrepreneurship. Despite recent successes in his Aerospace career, such as participating in two successful satellite missions and working at the European Space Agency, he decided to switch his focus and to embark on an entrepreneurial journey. Now, together with two long time friends, Philippos Barabas and Dimitrios Vogiatzis, he is working hard to tackle the problem of plastic pollution. This is how Terano was born in 2021 with the goal to eliminate plastic from our lives, starting with our groceries.
